First of all thanx to the sponsor Telekom. Great location, excellent food. The wifi access wasn’t that good, as I expected. With the code they send to me via a text message, I only had access with one device. But I think many participants had two devices (e.g. iPhone and Laptop). And everytime, I opened the laptop, I had to enter my wifi-code again. So this was a bit annoying. But the rest of the conference technique was very good.

Things I liked:

• meeting, chatting & discussing with international bloggers
• food
• the multi-user-website
• talk about money and blogs
• location and technique (except the wifi-access;) )

Things I did not like:

• no friday night welcome (nothing big, just a place to meet!)
• no place to meet after the official program
• not enough time and possibilities to chat with other participants
• no sunday meeting point, because I think, that many other people would like to use the time on sunday, especially those who come from other countries
• the fact, that there was actually a meeting on friday night and sunday, but wasn’t open to everyone. That was for me a bizzare situation, a bit like a 2-class-blogger-forum, and I was in the wrong class. This is an issue, I found really strange and felt a bit like an outsider.
• not enough talk about blogging and bloggers
• complaining about money and blogs

So, I think there’s a potential for this format of a conference, but in my eyes, some things have to be improved.

Anyway – a big thank you to Ritchie and his team for the orga!!!! I hope, there will be a World Blogging Forum next year.

Die kleine Runde war super, da wir dadurch extrem intensiv auf Fragen und Ideen eingehen konnten. Da habe ich mal wieder viel mitgenommen.

Die Stadtführung am Morgen war echt gut gelungen. Isolde hat sich tapfer geschlagen, da wir als Bloggerhaufen manchmal etwas anders reagieren. Aber sie hat alles absolut kompetent beantworten können. 

Luk hat sich auch voll in Zeug gelegt und uns mit WLAN, Beamer und hervorragendem Essen versorgt. Eol hat das auch live gebloggt: Speisekarte, Blog-Spätzle, Blog-Schnitzel, Blog-Eis, Apfelstrudel

Bei SoIsses gibt es eine Zusammenfassung mit Links zu allen Beiträgen über das Bloggertreffen.

Fotos gibt es ebenfalls bei SoIsses in der Bildergalerie, sowie beim Ritchie und bei Flickr.

Das Fazit für mich: Es gibt noch viel zu tun – aber es lohnt sich!

Heute ist es nun soweit. In ca. einer halben Stunde treffen wir uns vor dem Rathaus zur “Stadtführung 2.0″. Gestern Abend haben wir uns schon in einer kleinen Runde auf der Burg getroffen und Luk hat sich auch schon mal warm-gebloggt. 

Natürlich werde ich wieder einige Fotos schießen und diese dann in meiner Bildergalerie veröffentlichen.

Morgen ist es nun soweit – das Bloggertreffen in Gmünd auf der Alten Burg beginnt. Heute Abend gibt es schon mal ein nettes Beisammensitzen mit all denen, die heute schon anreisen.

Morgen gibt es dann mehr Infos – natürlich über die Blogs…

Nun ist ja das CastleCamp vorbei. Ich habe viel mitgenommen und Monika & ich werden die Infos, Anregungen und Tipps hier im Tal weitergeben. Einen Überblick über Berichte, Fotos, Podcast etc. gibt es auf der CastleCamp-Seite.

Ich selbst habe mal wieder gemerkt, dass es für soisses.at noch viel zu verbessern gibt. Es ist immer wieder super, sich auf solchen Veranstaltungen auszutauschen und gegenseitig Tipps & Anregungen zu geben.

Danke noch mal an die Orga – wir sind sicherlich das nächste Mal wieder dabei.
